Types of gutters

There are many different types of gutters that you can choose for your home. Your guttering is a vital part of your roofing system. We’ve listed a range of different types of guttering to choose from.

Types of gutters: Box Gutters

Box gutters are one of those different types of guttering systems that you don’t see every day. They are the ideal if you don’t want to actually be able to see the gutter because they are “boxed” into the middle or the edge of the roof.  Box gutters are made from high quality metal like Colourbond or stainless steel.

Box gutters are fitted with an emergency overflow so that water can be diverted if the gutter is blocked to stop it from spilling over onto the roof.

Types of gutters: Fascia Gutters

A fascia gutter also known as an ‘eaves gutter’ combines the fascia and gutter together to create one system on the roof’s rafters.

Types of gutters: Square Gutters

Square gutters have a square profile and are available in either a lo-square or hi-square shape. Types of gutters from this range have a high capacity and can cope easily with a large volume of water.

Square gutters are generally made from Colorbond, Zincalume or galvanised steel and they are available in a wide range of colours to suit your modern home.

Types of gutters: Round Gutters

Round gutters are also known as half round gutters because they are a semi-circle shape (although some types of gutters from this range have a straight back.

Their round profile helps them cater for large volumes of water and they are fantastic self cleaners.

Round gutters are generally made from Colorbond, Zincalume or galvanised steel and that they are available in a wide range of colours.

Types of gutters: Quad Gutters

Quad gutters are also known as “D” gutters and are generally made from the same types of materials as round gutters. The only difference really is their shape.

One major difference of the Quad gutter, however, is that they can be made with slots.  The slotted versions are great for areas with heavy rainfall as they allow the water to overflow.
